How to use it
- Choose your video.
- Pick the max size (or type your own).
- Click Compress and download the MP4.
What people use it for
- Upload portals with a size cap. College applications, job portals and forms that only take files up to X MB.
- Email attachments. Phone video too big to attach: bring it under your provider’s limit.
- Class projects and group chats. Share a clip where uploads are capped.
Tips
- Check the exact limit first. Here 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes, the stricter way of counting, so the file also fits where 1 MB = 1,048,576 bytes.
- A long video in a small limit gets blurry. If you can, trim to the part that matters in the Video editor.
- Dropping the sound frees space for the picture.
FAQ
Is my video uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser with FFmpeg (WebAssembly).
Why does it sometimes run twice?
A video’s final size is never exact. If it overshoots, the tool redoes it with slightly less quality.
Which formats?
MP4, MOV, WebM and anything your browser can read. Output is always MP4 (H.264 + AAC).
Free?
Yes — no account, no watermark.
